Halo 3 will ship!!!

When it's done that is. :)

According to Bill Gates himself, Halo 3 doesn't have any sort of release date and it will ship when Bungie is done making it. Apparently when he said that Sony was going to run right into Halo 3, he didn't mean it would literally launch the same day, but rather he was hoping it would already be out by the time the PS3 launches, thus hurting their sales.

Either way, I'm excited.

If it's gonna be like Halo 2, then I don't know if I will bother. The single player was dissapointing, and the lack of bots in multi was as well.
Hopefully there will be a little more customization in the multiplayer, but other than that the multiplayer was the most addicting I've ever come across.

The campaign will be lame like the first two, at least they were in my opinnion, but the online play is hopefully going to be just as if not more addictive than Halo 2.
I really liked the campaign in the first one, and that's the reason I'm going to buy Halo 2 within the next few months.
Halo 1's campaign was incerdibly boring and dull.
I didn't really find anything about Halo extremely lame. Story mode = killing... just like any other FPS. Things don't get much more complicated than that. If I want something deep and moving I'll play a RPG or adventure game.
The story was pretty good...just the way the campaign was, t'was boring. The Library level or whatever blew.
Sigh. Halo is the lamest excuse for an FPS (Single or multi) That I've ever come across. God knows why it's so popular with much better available on both Consoles and the PC.

Anyway Halo 3 will be as bad as the others. Why? Because Bungie are not going to give the game the overhaul and change in mentality that it needs to be anything other than a tired rehash of almost every FPS game before it. That's pretty much why Halo is overrated. It did everything a great FPS should, but it didn't do anything well.

The Library did indeed piss me off. I got about half way through and turned the game off after I had already been playing for hours. The library is perhaps my biggest gripe.
I quit playing for 3 months after that level.
I didn't bother even trying out Halo 2 in campaign mode, as enjoyable as it is to many people I just got bored in the campaign, so when I got the second one I just went straight to the multiplayer, which if you ask me is really where it seperates itself from most others.

I quit for a day.

i guess you just didnt like it because you probably kept getting your ass handed to you on live, i dont blame you though, when i suck at a game i hate it too. campaign did indeed not match up to par with the multiplayer but it is by far the best multiplayer to date. it rivals goldeneye for n64 back in the day. its not that it is a fps, but the physics of the game that make it so addicting. it also has the best matchmaking ive seen. btw i skipped the campaign and went straight to live for the first 6 months.

ps. adding bots to halo would be the worst thing bungie could ever do to halo.
I don't get why it's such a suprise there will be a Halo 3. It was as ovious as Bloodrayne (movie) sucking big cock.

Hahaha! Try playing some Alien Vs Predator 2, Perfect Dark or Day of Defeat and then try and tell me Halo has the best multiplayer deathmatches to date.

And I didn't get my ass handed to me on on Live, I did okay, but I hated the tactics I had to use to do well, talk about a game that is just about outcheaping your opponents. No room for strategy at all.
You have to give Bungie some credit with the ending of Hal though. The final countdown scene where you are racing the warthog and trying to beat the clock. That was pretty awesome.

Is halo 3 going to be on the Xbox or the 360?
360 I believe

That was one of my favorite parts!
Obviously X360. That would be the stupidest thing to do, ever, is to make it for Xbox. And yeah that warthog sceen was awesome.
