Atari Bringing Back the Classics With Atari Classics Evolved

Retro games are all the rage these days and Atari is joining in the fun with their newly announced Atari Classics Evolved for the PSP. Atari Classics Evolved is being developed by Stainless Games Ltd and is set to feature classics such as:


  • Asteroids

  • Asteroids Deluxe

  • Battlezone

  • Centipede

  • Lunar Lander

  • Millipede

  • Missile Command

  • Super Breakout

  • Tempest

  • Warlords

  • Pong



The original gameplay will be retained for all games, but Atari has opted to include the original as well as an evolved version of the game. Also included are over 60 original Atari 2600 titles including Yar's Revenge, Night Driver, Canyon Bomber, and Crystal Castles.

Atari Classics Evolved is slated for a Fall 2007 release.

Last time I bought an Atari Classics game was for the PS2, and it wouldn't save high scores. What the fuck is the point if it doesn't save high scores. I don't care if it's not true to the original game. Put some damn saving of high scores in there somewhere!!!
