DDR as exercise

June 17, 2004

The DDR exercise craze has long since winded down, but Red Octane, an online game rental company, is looking for someone who has recently gotten in shape by playing DDR. Entries will only be taken through tomorrow so hurry up and get yours in. One lucky person will be selected to appear in a national news story as well as receive a Red Octane metal DDR pad.

The email I received about this is as follows:

“RedOctane is looking for teenagers (ages 14-16) who’ve lost weight and gotten in shape with the help of Dance Dance Revolution. If you, or someone you know, have improved their health using DDR, then tell us your story (with your parent’s permission). The chosen entry will be used in an upcoming national news story and will receive a RedOctane Metal Pad.

To enter please email us your story in 50 words or less, along with a “before” and “after” picture of yourself. Be sure to include your contact information (name, age, and telephone number) in your email.

We need your story ASAP! The deadline for stories is June 18th. If your story is chosen, it will be posted on GetUpMove.com and submitted to a major print publication for inclusion in an upcoming story.
