I never made it through much of the Halo 3 campaign as I think I finally got burnt out on the franchise. I'm ready for them to let the series evolve into something new. I don't know if I am all that excited about this expansion or not.

I am! I also like the idea that the story can potentially offer more insight into the Halo universe from the perspective of another soldier and one that's not Master Chief. I'm also interested to see what changes they make with the gameplay.

If you want different, maybe the RTS game will be up your alley?

If you know me, you know I'm into Halo. However, campaigns have never really been my thing anyways. MP FTW!! I guess I might rent it, or something.

It's going to be a standalone game too. Wonder if it'll be a full $59.99.

Standalone game....wow. I was about to complain that this was just Halo 3 with some differences in story and weapons but then again, isn't Gears of War 2 just a retread also? For some reason, this just feels more obviously so.
