Nice...

The new Neverwinter Nights expansion makes NWN a complete game now. So many new animations, effects, models, and gear have the NWN community drooling. It really has come a long way. Right now we are working out some kinks so as to get our SB sponsored server updated and ready to go for the HoTU. I will keep the NWNers updated.

Also I am looking for new friends. Dont get me wrong I love the ones I got now, but many of them are not into Final Fantasy. So I need three more best friends to play Crystal Chronicles with. Apply today winner gets to play on my gamecube. This game is the only reason I have a gamecube. You know if it has Final Fantasy on the cover I am all over it.

I have a headache...

I was not able to do much of anything this past weekend as my sister got married. That meant that I was running around to various stores getting things prepared, or picking things up. Each and everyday I was woken up by screaming cousins that just came in to town. I even had to set up my PS2 in the guest room so the kids could just sit and play a game. Like hell that Xbox is moving.

Last week I was able to get a lot of Manhunt in. I will save my response for this game to the review. I am niether pissed or happy with the game, we will see what comes out when I type this up.

Sheesh

So before I had time to take the videos down, another 10GB of bandwidth was used. I really don't mind hosting stuff like that but goodness gracious. I know for a fact that one site in particular gave the appearance they were hosting the video but were just redirecting all the requests to our server, at least until I pulled the videos. At any rate, when things calm down and we figure out another solution for hosting files of that nature I will let you know and they will be back online.

Friday night I played The Hobbit. Anyone out there who has played this game is probably shaking their heads right now. While I dug the artwork and the "cutesty" versions of the LotR characters, this game is totally made for young children in my opinion. That being said, unless it gets a lot cooler in a very short period of time I won't be spending too much more time with it.

Bandwidth

We have now used 20GB of bandwidth so far this month thanks to the SMB3 and Contra videos. Unfortunately that is a far cry more than the 8GB we did all of last month. I am working with the guys at Paladin to implement a better solution. I will probably have to take the vids down for a little while. I will let you know as soon as I do something about this. If anyone else wants to host a mirror, please email me.

NumbThumb Links

In the feedback section, on the right side of each review, where there are links to the forum discussion etc, I added links to rent that particular game from NumbThumb. In case you didn't know, NumbThumb is a San Marcos/Austin based online video game rental service just like Gamefly only with better turn around times since they are so close. Give them a look if you are in the market for online game rentals.

Child's Play

PAs new program, Child's Play, is blowing up. Over $30,000 in gifts and donations to date. I am completely amazed. You have to see the pics to believe it. I would really like for us here at SB to contribute, so if you are interested there is a thread for discussion.

Yea!

Neverwinter Nights Hordes of the Underdark is in stores now. This expansion is really what Shadows of the Undertide should have been, you know, a REAL expansion. While I jump for joy at another NWN campaign, this is going to be a headache in our NWN community server as we try to update the bad boy. For those that dont know I admin a NWN server online, check out the forums for more details.

Nintendo on top for the month

Nintendo sold over 500,000 Gamecubes during the Thanksgiving weekend, a figure only eclipsed by the 600,000 GBAs that flew off store shelves. Not to be outdone, Sony came out and announced that they sold over 1 Million PS2s during the month of November. If you read the long and carefully worded original Press Release you will notice that:

Consumers in the days following Thanksgiving purchased the PlayStation family of products for those on their holiday lists more than any other gaming entertainment hardware and software.
I love how Sony just can't stand to be anything other than number 1 even if it means rewording that until they are on top. "PlayStation family of products" includes hardware and software for PS1 and PS2 I assume. Oh well.

Anything news that shows Nintendo moving up in the ranks is ok by me.
