SB Asks: This side of the Q1 fence

All through the fall, gamers were griping about delays and talking about how Q1 2010 would be better than Q4 2009.  Now that we're here and starting to see the release of some of these games, do you think that's true?  What are you looking forward to in January, February and March?  Let us know!

Well, Splinter Cell Conviction just got pushed to April to that sucks for Q1...

considering the games I feel will be #1 and #2 for the year come out this quarter, I feel perfectly fine with Q1...now if only Conviction was still a February release, it'd be even better.

As long as I have Mass Effect 2 I'm happy.

As is apparent by our feature, Eric, you're in good company on that one.

It's sad, but I don't really have anything I'm looking forward to.

How can you not be looking forward to Mass Effect 2, Final Fantasy XIII, OR God of War 3?

By only owning a Wii. :)

Which isn't true in Cone's case, but hey.

More importantly, Vy, what unplugged stuff are you looking forward to in the next few months? I want to know what you will have played to exhaustion by the next time I make it over there, haha.

I don't really follow the upcoming release schedule for board games; that's juuuuust over the line of where my geekdom stops. Usually I'll see something interesting and then investigate it.

Waaaay too many things.

I'm lucky my Wii currently can't play disc games, or else No More Heroes 2 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom would have to be added to that. Currently waiting for Mass Effect, Bioshock 2 and Dante's Inferno, since they're the next big name games to come out.

Agreed, haha.

Hah well, It's lucky in the sense that it cuts down my ability to buy more games this season. God knows how expensive it'll be to fix if I ship it over to Nintendo, so I'd rather spend that money on the games themselves.

...And even then, I'm probably gonna have to wait out on a few of them. This first quarter is packed with way too many good games.

@Noi

You should still contact Nintendo in case it is covered under warranty.

@Thrallia I never played the original Mass Effect, either God of War titles, and I don't do Final Fantasy. I should like I should be playing Madden don't I? lol

you do sound like that, Cone. If you ever find the time, you should check out the original Mass Effect...I believe its under $20 now...just like all those other games you need to check out :P

I should have Mass Effect 2 in my hands sometime tomorrow! Can't wait to dive in, I've been brushing up on my Mass Effect lore all day.
Jan 25, 2010 3:31 pm

Man, this is the worst time ever for NMH2 to drop. My next two weekends are booked solid...
Jan 26, 2010 5:20 am

I'll be getting my hands on Mass Effect 2 in a few hours as well. I can't wait! Even though I won't get a chance to actually play it until I finish my current reviews.
Jan 26, 2010 8:50 am

@Thrallia

Uh I actually have Mass Effect... I just never played it. *ducks*
Jan 28, 2010 5:50 pm

no need to duck from me...it took me almost 2 years to get around to beating it. Not to mention, if one were to look at my backlog, I've got over 100 games I've purchased and yet to play more than an hour or two(or even open, in some cases...)
