Meteos is an insane puzzle game brought to you by the creators of Lumines for the PSP, Q Entertainment. This game is so addictive that it tears me away from other games I should be reviewing but I'm not-it's just that awesome. You can't really compare it to Tetris because youline use the stylus for this bad boy. The only thing similar to Tetris is probably the falling-blocks factor. Yeah, it might be another game of falling blocks, but this time around it's a tad different.

The story behind this game involves a planet called Meteos launching an attack on all the planets in the universe, and the only way to defend yourself from the meteors is to launch them back up into orbit. The trick is to line up three or more falling meteors. By doing so, you launch those three meteors plus anything on top of those three, so if it's too heavy for the jets to push them up you have to keep on lining up three meteors of the same color in midair to get enough propulsion to launch the package back into space.

Another thing is that every planet is unique in its own way-from music, to gravity, to meteor shapes. During intense gameplay of any mode, be it simple (which is set to your standards) or story mode (make your way to destroy Meteo), there are items that spice up the gameplay, spanning from smokescreens to bombs to huge nukes that clear the screen. These can all be unlocked in a Fusion mode, where all your meteors launched into space are kept on record. You can also unlock planets for use in simple mode and multiplayer.

The gameplay is nothing but awesome-it's completely addictive, and every time I say "just one more game," it turns into 10 more. It's one of those games where you expect it to gradually lose its edge, but that's not the factor here. I can still see myself playing this game a year from now. I never got a chance to play multiplayer yet, but I know plenty of people who say it's amazing. It supports both single and multi-card gaming, with single just supporting some features and multi supporting every planet and item.

I really don't see any flaws in this game. My only disappointment is that personally I have yet to experience the potential wonders of multiplayer. This game is solid and is a must for your Nintendo DS collection. It's gold-go buy it.
