First Impression: Boom Blox

June 13, 2008

For Father’s Day the kids got me a copy of Boom Blox. Unable to keep a secret, I got it a few days early. Boom Blox is a collaborative title between EA and Steven Spielberg that is part carnival game and part puzzle game.

The premise of the title is simple, use the available tools to collect the most points in the fewest attempts. It can also be very challenging. I’ve cleared a whole handful of the stages and they just don’t ever end.

To combat the repetitive nature of such a title, there is a party mode that is sure to add some fun and variety.

If you were on the fence about Boom Blox, allow me to sway you towards the side that involves you giving Boom Blox a purchase. More to come in the upcoming review.
