In this episode, Graham guides Jeremy through the water-filled world of Densetsu no Starfy 2, the second game in the Legendary Starfy series. Though only the fifth and final game made it to the West, all of them are easy enough to jump in and play, and friendly in both mechanics and visuals! Maybe give one a try?

In this super-sized episode of Gaijin Guide, Graham and Jeremy join their friends Terry and Rikku for a dice-rolling real estate competition! Itadaki Street Special, the predecessor to localized Wii title Fortune Street, features Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest characters in a game that resembles Monopoly but fixes many of that game’s infamous ills. Who will win? Is it Rikku? (It’s not Rikku.)

Jeremy tests his hand-eye coordination with some help from Graham in this week’s episode featuring GBA dexterity puzzler Kururin Paradise. The sequel to Kuru Kuru Kururin (which was released in English in Europe), it brings a lot of variety to the spinning-ship-with-an-arbitrarily-inconvenient-shape genre.

On this episode, Graham and Jeremy walk you through the actually-very-new PS3 release, Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundoukai All-Star Special! A remake of a late-life Famicom title from Technos, it features characters from the Kunio universe, one you may have experienced through River City Ransom, Super Dodge Ball, Nintendo World Cup or Crash ‘n’ the Boys. It’s an unlikely recreation of an odd obstacle-course-and-fighting title, and sure to appeal to people looking for Japanese weirdness! Watch and see if it’s for you.
