The Lineup

August 27, 2004

Nintendo has released their holiday lineup for the GBA SP and it’s Gamecube. I will be expecting Sony and Xbox to follow the lead here soon. September is a few days away, so I guess now is a good time as any to start saving up or working hard at school for good grades. September has a ton of games being released, the most anticitpated of all being Fable.

In other news, I have started pre-loading Half-Life 2 on to my PC. This morning I was greeted by a message prompt from Steam asking if I wanted to preload it. So the progress has begun and now its taking forever. I will keep you guys posted. A report from last night, The Crew got together for a nice little dinner at Chili’s to celebrate Pickles Birthday. And let me say it was a great time.

Birthday Celebrations

August 26, 2004

I would just like to first off like to say that I hope Pickle had a great birthday. I would also like to say thanks to him for being such a great guy and friend to all of us here at SB.

Thanks for letting us celebrate you tonight with food and fun.

Project Revolution

August 26, 2004

I know how much some of you like StarCraft and WarCraft so this is news for you. There is a mod underway for WarCraft 3. It is a total conversion mod that recreates the StarCraft universe using the WC3 engine. In order to play it you have to own SC, SC: Brood War, WC3, and WC3: The Frozen Throne. You can find all the info and shots of the currently completed items at the homepage.

The Windsor Star is reporting that a woman made 7 phone complaints to the Transit Windsor bus administration about an ad that was running on the buses. The ad for the Gamecube verison of Prince of Persia apparently frightened her 4 year old son. He was having nightmares and was afraid to ride the bus. She goes on to describe him also being afraid of the same ad featuring a gun. Since when does any PoP ad feature him holding a gun?

As you finish the article you get to this gem of a quote
It is sending the wrong message to kids. I don’t even let my kids have a butter knife.
I see. The ads are being removed from the buses and I am dumbfounded yet again by the stupidity of people in this world.

I don’t mean to sound insensitive. If there was a legit problem with the ad then I have no problems with it being removed but for her to wrongly describe a PoP ad with a gun leads me to believe that there could have been an ad for silverware that offended her.

I want to be the first to wish my best friend and INTERNET ICON a happy birthday. PICKLE HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO!! The big two four!! I hope you have an awesome day. I know me and the crew got something planned for you. You rule!!
