December 2006

A bunch of new screens and a trailer has emerged for the DS exclusive Final Fantasy XII spin off, Revenant Wings. For a DS game, it sure looks great, but can a spin off match the quality of the popular PS2 game?

I just wanted to take time to say that I wish everyone a Happy Holiday, and to thank all our visitors this year. We are very close to celebrating the Snackbar Birthday, so I love to reflect on the birth of the orange machine to what it has become. This year has had by far been the most user participation we have ever had. From our writing staff, to our contributors and of course the forum members.

Special thanks to those who have stepped up and said I want to contribute and be a part of an online community. Im talking about all our amazing writers, our wonderful editor Whoa, and Piniata who has stepped up tremendously and done a wonderful job. All those who helped with the podcast, Deebs, Wytefang we thank you too.

Cone, Dots, Pretz, Wayne and myself give all of you guys a great big thanks. We appreciate everything you all do for us you guys really make this your site, and your community. Soon it will roll into 2007, and we expect another great year for Snackbar Games. We are always open to have people help with writing, or doing whatever you want to get your voice out on the net. We will do what we can to help you make this place more yours as always. Huzzzah!

Resident Evil 5 in 2008?

December 22, 2006

It’s really been ages since the last pieces of information, screen shots, or videos surfaced from Resident Evil 5. However, there are rumors now that the game can, at the earliest, come out in 2008. Why? The developers are aiming for 60 FPS, which will take a lot of time. Not to mention that in the gameplay, things such as weather and temperature will play a big role, which, once again, takes lots of time to master. It’s certainly good that Capcom is trying to make the game as perfect as possible, but I’m sure many fans think that 2008 is so far away.

New Crackdown Screens

December 22, 2006

Microsoft sent over some info about the upcoming game Crackdown along with some new screens for it. Crackdown is slated for a Feb. 20th release and a demo should be up on Live on Jan 18th.

Rumors were swirling late last night that Microsoft was slated to release a memo this morning that extended the standard warranty for all Xbox 360s. That rumor came true. Microsoft has extended the 360 warranty effective immediately and in awesome customer service form they made it retroactive.
