A new demo for LOCO ROCO was recently released on the Japanese Playstation site. The new demo has a Christmas theme and requires the 3.02 firmware update to play on your PSP.

Thanks to the latest stand alone expansion pack, Nightfall, Guild Wars now has 3 million subscribers. It took one and a half years to reach this number for the monthly fee free MMORPG. Though nowhere near as popular as World of Warcraft, 3 million is still a very impressive number (especially compared to the 10k subscribers of Auto Assault).
Mystwalker’s RPG, Blue Dragon, did not meet expectations in Japan. We have previously reported on the launch, but it seems that having a pretty girl with a copy of the game was not enough. Since its launch last Thursday, only 70k copies have been sold (43k as standalone games and another 27k with the bundle pack). While 70k is great for a 360 game in Japan, it’s pathetic compared to the sales of games like Kingdom Hearts II, Dragon Quest VIII or Final Fantasy XII. We shall (hopefully soon) see how the game does in the American and European markets.
Oops, I did it again, sang Britney Spears at the height of her career. I’m pretty sure the same thing could be sung by Sony leaders too, because they seem to be doing it again (first with the PSP delay). Rumors suggest that the PS3 will not come out until September in Europe, instead of the planned March release. Why? Because Sony can’t seem to manufacture enough parts for the PS3 to deliver a sufficient amount (like, 15, as with Japan and North America).
This is getting ridiculous. Lik-Sang is closed down, thanks to Sony. The PSP came out about one year later in Europe than in Japan. Now this?
Sony can’t seem to realize that by doing this, it will seriously hurt them when they finally do launch. The 360 and Wii will be well on track, and will have a huge fan and user base that the PS3 may not be able to overcome. Not to mention the slap on the face for the fans, who have patiently waited and did not buy another console since they are waiting for a PS3.
*sigh* Let’s just hope, for Sony’s sake, that these are rumors, and the PS3 will launch in March 2007.
A ton of new info on the sequel to the hit game, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, was just released. G.R.A.W. 2 will take place in 2014, at the Mexican-U.S. border, where rebels are forming and showing off their strength and how badass they are (ok, maybe not the later, but you get the idea). Some innovations:
-changing weather conditions and times of day during gameplay
-improved enemy and friendly AI (wow, doesn’t this get mentioned every time a game is coming out?)
-new weapons (also a surprise)
-a new class, medic
Despite my sarcasm, I thought G.R.A.W was a fine game, and I am anticipating the sequel. G.R.A.W. 2 is slated for a quarter 2 2007 release, for PC, PSP, PS3 and Xbox 360.
