The recent number of E74 error reports by Xbox 360 owners has dramatically increased since the release of NXE late last year. There has been no confirmed link between the two, but Microsoft has published a support document this morning that details that the E74 error would now be covered by their free replacement warranty like the RROD error has in the past. With the Nintendo DSi having been on store shelves just about a week now, Activision is becoming the first third party developer to release a downloadable game for the new system. Mixed Messages, a massive 21 player version of the old kids game telephone, will be available at 9am PST for a cool 500 DSi Points.

Also making its way to the DSi Shop this morning is Master of Illussion Express: Shuffle Games, a follow up to the magic themed DS game from last year featuring tricks that were pulled from the original release of the game.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you’ve no doubt heard that Time Warner is expanding it’s use of bandwidth caps into additional markets as an expanded test for future billing models. The new album by Guns n’ Roses, Chinese Democracy, will be released on the Rock Band Music Store on April 14th. The album will be released in its entirety for all 3 main platforms and will be available as a full album for PS3 and 360 priced at $19.99, but Wii owners will only be able to purchase individual tracks… bringing the total cost of the album to a whopping $26. Harmonix announced plans to release Rock Band Track Pack: Classic Rock for all versions of Rock Band 2. The expected release date for this track pack is currently May 19th. This Track Pack is not a downloadable product, but is instead a standalone product that gamers can injoy independent of Rock Band or Rock Band 2. That said, PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will have the option of playing from the disc directly or retrieving the songs as downloadable versions.
