Midway sent over word that a downloadable map pack for Stranglehold had been released. The Xbox 360 version of the map pack includes 10 multiplayer maps, 21 all new character skins, and 10 new achievements worth 250 Gamerscore Points for you GS junkies. New maps include Kowloon Market, Wong’s Estate Grounds, and the Rooftops of Chicago. The download will set you back 1200 MS points and is available right now.

Playstation 3 owners of Stranglehold can look forward to the map pack hitting the PSN in the very near future.

The persistent issues that seem to have plagued the Xbox Live service for several weeks now might be improving, but that doesn’t mean that you didn’t lost precious gaming time over the holiday break. Microsoft’s General Manager of Xbox Live, Marc Whitten, agrees and Microsoft is making plans to offer a full version download of an Xbox Live Arcade title for the problems.

The program appears to be extended to all Xbox Live users worldwide. The full details on the program have yet to be released, but we’ll let you know when they are. Read on for the full statement. READ MORE

Happy Birthday to… US

So Happy Birthday to US!

On the last day of 2007, Nintendo had one final trio of VC titles for the year in the form of Bubble Bobble, Light Crusader, and Top Hunter. As the only one of the three that I’ve played, Bubble Bobble was great fun as a kid, but as with many of the VC releases I am not sure how well it has aged. I guess we’ll find out very soon.
