Since it’s launch in mid November, over two million copies of Gears of War have been sold worldwide. Over one million people have also played the game online. With these numbers, Gears of War has become the fastest selling next generation game this year.

In other news, Epic has stated that their downloadable content will be FREE, as opposed to charging gamers little sums for little things on the Xbox Live! Marketplace. I fully support this idea.

While this may seem funny, it probably is pretty sad that the game has received poor reviews everywhere. Is it just me, or is Ubisoft doing a poor job with their FPS games for the Wii? Red Steel was critically bashed, and now Far Cry. Ubisoft is a massive publisher and developer, and are known for their quality games. Wi(i)ll they improve with their Wii FPS games? Is the Wii the right console for FPS? Time wi(i)ll tell.

Not one, but two new games in the Tactics series are coming. A remake of the PS1 game, Final Fantasy Tactics, is coming for the PSP, and a sequel to the GBA game, Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced, is coming as well, to an unnamed platform. Since it’s launch last Friday through Sunday, over 325,000 Nintendo Wii systems were sold across Europe. This means that the Wii has become the fastest selling (non-handheld) system in the old continent. Obviously there are shortages, pretty much everywhere, but Nintendo confirmed they are working on remedying that soon. Also, half a million Nintendo DS Lites were sold in the past week, bringing the total to 8.5 million Nintendo DS systems sold in Europe to date.

LOCO ROCO Japanese Demo

A new [url=http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/locoroco/dl/trial_dl3_pc_c.html]demo[/url] for LOCO ROCO was recently released on the Japanese Playstation site. The new demo has a Christmas theme and requires the 3.02 firmware update to play on your PSP.
