A few months back pc case maker Lian Li debuted a replacement Xbox 360 case for gamers looking for a little better thermal properties and a little more custom look for their system. A Tech Fabrication, a custom case manufacturer out of Burbank, has decided to enter that arena as well as they announced the availability of the HeatSync Three-Sixty. READ MORE

First and foremost I want to apologize to all of you loyal Snackbar Games readers for the lack of updates recently. As you may or may not know, all of us here at SBG have regular day jobs that pay the bills. Yes, I know you are surprised that our wonderful site is not in fact supporting all of us with full time jobs.

I think it’s finally gotten to the point where the amount of work necessary to keep this site updated with news is larger than the available time we have as a collective group. That said, we are mixing things up. Here is what you can expect to see in the coming weeks from us.

  • A new hompeage – We are working on cleaning up the homepage to make it easier to see new content and more functional for you.
  • Shifted focus in content – We aren’t going to keep up with the rat race that is posting hot off the press game news anymore. Instead, we will probably syndicate some of our favorite news sources and focus on reviews and other original content. We’ll let them do what they do best and we’ll focus on what we do best.
  • More author posts – I’m going to encourage our writers to post more about what they are playing and what their thoughts on games are long before the reviews go up. Sometimes our reviews go up long after games are out to ensure we have had time to play them thoroughly, but I think it would be helpful to give you insight into what our writers think about a game as early as possible.
If there are other features or changes you’d like to see around here, now would be a good time to throw those out. Thanks for visiting Snackbar Games. We know that without a loyal readerbase, we’d be wasting our time.

I’ve been a big fan of Mountain Dew (now Mtn Dew) since college. I’ve always enjoyed the new flavors they would bring out for a limited time. Mtn Dew was kind enough to send over a sample of the new Voltage flavor, you know, because I’m too cheap to drive myself to the store and purchase it on my own.

I’ll be honest that the raspberry citrus flavor of Voltage was not what I expected, but it was really quite good. So good in fact that we are going to give away a Mtn Dew Voltage prize pack to one random reader.

Our giveaway is simple, simply make a post in this thread with 1 sentence on why you should get this prize pack, which includes a shirt and some Voltage. I’ll randomly select someone and that’s all there is to it.

I’m currently trying to find out if there are regional restrictions for this so there is a 50/50 chance that it’ll be US only. Just a fair warning.

EA announced today that for the first time ever 2 athletes would grace the cover of Madden NFL. This year’s cover athletes come in the form of Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals and Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The players were selected because they are excellent examples of the epic battles between offense and defense in the NFL. READ MORE
