For those of you who don’t know, the GP2X is an extremely homebrew friendly handheld with USB and SD-card support that is descended from a Korean portable gaming system. It’s fairly powerful for 2d gaming and video apps, but almost entirely community supported. Still I know a lot of people who were fans of the previous versions, and I’m sure they’ll be glad to know it’s still profitable enough to justify a slight hardware update.

Do you keep your PS2 and other systems on standby? I know I leave my PS2 plugged in on standby for days at a time that I don’t use it (as well as my DVD players and other things). This is apparently using up a lot of energy nationwide and contributing to global warming and such, so maybe I should turn it off when I’m not using it.
(I did turn off all my crap, including powerstips, while I was gone for a week. Go me.)

It’s about time this became a standard. Much more attractive and easier to deal with that paper sleeves. I have a few games boxed in this format and I prefer it.

I was never sure what Sony’s 15 launch titles were, but I’m even more confused now. A bunch of their known and showcase games are being pushed back until Christmas or later. All I know is that I’m not paying $600 for a machine without any games. Let’s get it together, Sony.

That’s all you need to know.
That’s it. I know we were all hoping sooner, but it’s coming nonetheless.
