ESPN NFL 2k5

June 14, 2004

I think its a very smart move for Sega to jump to the $20 price point with this game. Madden 2005 is on the horizon and Live compatability will make it the dominant game, so what is left to do? Undercut the competition. The $20 pricetag will definitely draw an audience looking for an inexpensive game and you just can’t beat $20. There is no doubt Madden will outsell it, but there will be plenty of people that would prefer to spend that $30 elsewhere and be happy with NFL 2k5 over Madden 2005.
