First impressions of Ghostbusters: The Video Game

June 11, 2009

I spent a few hours playing Ghostbusters last night and so far I am very impressed with everything about the game. I went in with pretty lofty expectations and so far I haven’t been let down.

The most noticeable thing about the title is the virtually perfect transition from movie to game. If you’ve seen the movie, and let’s be real here who hasn’t, you’ll notice that the witty banter that made the movie has made the transition to the game perfectly. This is due in part to the original cast lending their voices to the game and Dan Akyroyd and Harold Ramis at the helm of the writing side of the game.

I’ve barely scratched the surface on this one, but so far it’s an absolute blast. More to come when I finish with the game and get the review online.
