Microsoft unveils Xbox Live Rewards program

December 1, 2010

Microsoft announced today that their pilot rewards program, tested more than a year ago, is finally live in the US and the UK. This program will give you Microsoft Points for simply doing things you were probably doing anyway, from 10 points for renewing a monthly Gold membership to 400 points for buying a family Gold pack.

You won’t get points just for signing up or renewing your Gold membership though, you’ll also periodically get points back for buying select Xbox Live Marketplace content; for activating and using Netflix; and even for doing surveys each month.

The first Xbox Live Marketplace deal was announced today as well, if you buy any two of the following XBLA games before December 20, you’ll get 400 points back on your account.
