Well here we go…

January 25, 2005

Major League Baseball has just signed a contract with Take-Two Interactive, Inc. for exclusivity of the Major League Baseball Players Association. Now, the strange thing is that the contract grants it exclusivity among third party developers. So I guess if Nintendo wanted to make a MLB game they could do so, but details still are hazy.

Now this is a return fire for EA taking NFL from, well, everyone. However EA has the better game in regards to NFL, and EA has the better game in regards to MLB. MVP Baseball is a gem, one of the rare really, really solid sport games. ESPN Baseball looks like hell, plays like crap, and now they will be making our MLB games. Of course this is just my humble opinion, but I am one frustrated fan of Baseball games with MVP in the title.
