Apparently Toys “R” Us has pulled a fast one on more than one trusting gamer. Canadian gamers are reporting that the initially advertised deal of a Wii, an extra controller, and an extra game for $280 has been replaced with merely the console and no extras. Similar bait and switch tactics are being reported down under where a “Free Game” was the bait and the switch is in the fine print where TRU determines the free game and it happens to be Open Season and not the previously alluded to Twilight Princess.
Not good news for all the poor people who were suckered into these too good to be true deals.
